Local Man Shot

On April 30, 2019 at approximately 10:48 PM Parsons Police Officers were dispatched to the Emergency Room at Labette Health for a reported gunshot victim.

Responding Officers arrived and identified the victim a as 37-year-old, white male, who is a Parsons resident. The victim's identity is being withheld due to the on-going investigation.

According to responding officers, the victim was suffering from a gunshot and had been battered near 26th and Crawford in Parsons. The victim was then transported by an unknown person(s) to Labette Health ER and dropped off. Officers stated that the victim was not fully cooperative and the circumstance surrounding the shooting is still unknown. "The only lead we are tracking is that the suspects were in a white midsized passenger car," Parsons Police Sergeant Jason Ludwig claims. "We hope to gain more information from the victim for our detectives to solve this crime," Ludwig continued.

According to Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks, "this is the type of scenario we are working to avoid with the development of the Kansas Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (K-CAT). We will use every available resource to stomp out this criminal activity that plagues our city."
