See It, Hear It, Report It Leads to Arrest

12/14/2018

On December 14, 2018 a call from a concerned citizen resulted in Parsons Police Officers being dispatched to Stock Yard Travel Plaza for a report of suspicious behavior in a vehicle sitting in the car wash.

Corporal Waylon Kepley responded to investigate and found illegal drugs being actively used. Officer Isaiah Hicks and Cpl. Kepley arrested two individuals. A subsequent search of their persons and vehicle lead to the discovery of marijuana, prescription narcotics, and drug paraphernalia. Nikki McElroy White Female age 24 and Patrick Patton White Male age 27 were arrested at the scene. Patrick was also found to have an active Labette County Warrant as well. Charges will be filed on the individuals for the Possession of Hallucinogenic Drugs, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. They remain jailed at the Parsons Police Department awaiting their first appearance.

"We are continuing to move forward with the stomping out of illegal narcotics use in our community one arrest at a time" said Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks. "If you want to use illegal drugs, move out of our community or be arrested" claims Spinks. "This will continue to be a common occurrence as we move to the formation of the Narcotics Task Force and officially bring drug dealers and users to justice", according to Spinks.

This continues to be an on-going investigation and citizens are encouraged to "See It, Hear It, Report It". If anyone has any further information on this incident or any other criminal activity, please contact the Parsons Police Department at 421-7060 or call the Tip Line at 421-7057 or email at tips@parsonspd.com.
