Federal Parolee Arrested in Parsons

On October 10th, 2018 at approximately 1:41 AM Parsons Police Corporal Brice Dickens observed a vehicle that was enveloped in smoke in the 100 block of south 22nd. Corporal Dickens conducted a traffic stop to assist the motorist in the 2200 block of Belmont. During the traffic stop Corporal Dickens discovered that the driver had a suspended driver's license. The driver was also on federal parole and in possession of illegal narcotics and had an open container. Corporal Dickens also observed damage to the vehicle that was the cause for the smoke. It was determined that the vehicle was involved in a hit and run crash at another location.

Tyler Dwaine Vickery, white male age 24, was arrested on suspicions of Distribution of Certain Stimulants, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Driving while Suspended, Transporting an open Container and Interference with Law Enforcement. The U.S. Marshals Service has been notified and will take custody of Vickery later today on a federal detainer.
