The Parsons Police Department wants to congratulate Tyeler Riggs on his recent promotion to Corporal. Corporal Riggs brings 8 years of law enforcement experience to the department, he previously worked for the Erie Kansas Police Department and the Neosho County Sheriff's Department. Corporal Riggs is also a Veteran from the US Marine Corps where he served as a military police officer and served overseas.

Corporal Riggs will be assigned as a department Field Training Officer as well as continuing to be an instructor for Taser and OC. Corporal Riggs will also take charge of the Department's traffic safety program which coordinates our Special Traffic Enforcement Programs (STEP) including the state funded Click It or Ticket, You Drink You Drive You Loose, Thanksgiving Safe Arrival and the 'AAA' Programs. He also will conduct traffic safety analysis on various parts of the city and develop reports to share with the community.
