Wanted Man Arrested

                On July 22, 2019 at approximately 6:54 pm Parsons Police Officer Ryan Shirk was in the 1400 block of Appleton. He noticed a white male matching the description of a wanted person from Labette County.

                Officer Shirk approached the individual and asked him his name to confirm his identity. The man gave a false name to Officer Shirk but when he was told that a Deputy was going to be contacted to confirm his identity the man stated that he was Jeffrey Aitken. Jeffrey Aitken, 52 of Oswego, was arrested on multiple felony warrants. Jeffrey had two felony warrants from Labette County along with two felony warrant from Montgomery County. Jeffrey's arrest also cleared a felony Interference with and Law Enforcement Officer case from the City of Parsons, when he fled from Detective Kyle Wiford.

                Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks says "as always our officers will continue to be vigilant in their search for criminals. If you are a wanted felon, we will bring you before a judge." Spinks continues "this is yet another win for the Parsons Police Department in our mission to help other agencies."
