Administrative Services Unit

The Administrative Services Unit is headed by Sergeant Jason Ludwig who reports directly to the Chief of Police. This unit oversees a host of critical functions for the Department, including the Records/Evidence Technician and the Community Services Officer (CSO). Other Unit responsibilities include:

  • Special programs including the STEP Traffic enforcement program and UTV/Bicycle Unit.
  • All training is developed, managed and tracked by the ASU. All agency instructors while providing training report to the ASU, which catalogs all instructor training packages.
  • Manages the agency's Policy Manual and oversees tracking of daily training bulletins.
  • Internal Affairs investigations are conducted by the ASU and these reports and their findings are directly shared with the Chief of Police.
  • The Department's Annual Report is produced by the ASU.
  • The agency's website is maintained and updated by the ASU.
  • New department projects and purchases are coordinated through the ASU Office and most large-scale developments are put in place by this integral unit.
  • On a daily basis, the Public Information Officer (PIO) function is handled by the ASU which develops and disseminates press releases to radio, tv and Internet.
