Weather Alerts

Tornado formation
Storm siren testing will be conducted at noon every Monday beginning in March. Should bad weather prohibit the testing on that Monday, it will be conducted on the following Wednesday.

When storm sirens are sounded, or a tornado warning is issued, it means a tornado has been sighted and cover should be taken immediately. Because of potential short warning time, citizens are encouraged to make arrangements with neighbors who have basements or safe rooms, so shelter can be taken as close to home as possible. The public shelters may be available, but due to space limitations, should be used as a last resort. No animals allowed except for service animals.
